Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal launches 647 schemes for development of Majuli

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal rolled out 647 schemes entailing an investment of Rs 24.57 crore for development of the world's largest river island Majuli. Out of these, 448 schemes under MGNREGA involved Rs 21.90 crore and 199 schemes under 14th Finance Commission have an outlay of Rs 2.67 crore, it added.

Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojna launched to promote Philately

Minister of Communications Shri Manoj Sinha launched a Pan India scholarship program for school children called Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana to increase the reach of Philately. Under the scheme of SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby), it is proposed to award annual scholarships to children of Standard VI to IX having good academic record and also pursuing Philately as a hobby. The amount of Scholarship will be Rs. 6000/- per annum @ Rs. 500/- per month.

India's largest CDQ Facility At TATA  Steel Kalinganagar

Tata Steel has established India’s largest Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) facility, capable of handling 200 metric tonnes per hour, at its state-of-the-art steel plant at Kalinganagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur district of Odisha. CDQ is a heat recovery system to cool hot coke from coke ovens. It is one of the best energy-efficient and environment-friendly facility in steel production where hot coke removed from coke ovens at a temperature of around 1,000 degree Celsius is cooled and kept dry with the inert gas.


Rs 10,000 Crore MoU signed Between Gov. Of India and Patanjali

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) of Rs 10, 000 Crore was signed between the Government of India (GoI) and Patanjali at the World Food India 2017. The MoU was signed by Managing Director of Patanjali, Acharya Balkrishna and Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing in the Government of India 

ICICI bank teams with Apple to launch voice-based International remittance service

ICICI Bank announced the launch of India's first voice-based international remittance service to enable non-resident Indians (NRIs) to send money to any bank in India. With this new feature in the ICICI Bank's Money2India app, an NRI customer can instantly initiate a remittance to his/her existing payees in India with just a simple voice command to Apple's virtual voice assistant, Siri, on their iPhone/iPad.
